| Provo, UT | December 2021 | City-wide Parks and Recreation Master Plan | ETC Institute |
The purpose of the City of Provo’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update is to provide a roadmap for future development of parks and recreational opportunities to be provided by the nationally accredited department over the next 10 years, in alignment with Provo’s current General Plan update and their 2018 Impact Fee Analysis and Impact Fee Facilities Plan. This plan is based on recognized park planning principles and standards and reflects input from residents and stakeholders in Provo, City staff, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and the City Council.
This Parks and Recreation Master Plan focuses on identifying the City’s current and future recreation needs to aid City staff and decision-makers in providing and expanding and equitable distribution of recreational facilities and opportunities to Provo residents and stakeholders. This includes preserving the City’s open space areas and improving the existing parks and recreation system to ensure the delivery of high quality, parks and recreation experiences.

“PROS Consulting and their planning efforts have been integral in our Department’s ascension to a CAPRA accredited and NRPA Gold Medal agency. Their efforts during our partnerships have created the path to deliver the best programs and facilities for our citizens. Solid performance-based relationships, like what Provo Parks and Recreation has with PROS Consulting, are the key to next-level performance.”
