Travis has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of parks and recreation, with more than 10 of those years spent in executive management roles, including the Director position. Over these years he has served a variety of sizes of communities and urban and suburban park systems.

His achievements and experience in the municipal setting include overseeing immense organizational growth, finance management, grant writing, several large and minor park capital improvement projects, establishing operational policies and procedures, board management, instituting information technology systems for operational efficiencies, strategic community partnerships, and successful community engagement campaigns.

Travis has served on the Indiana Parks and Recreation Association’s Board of Directors for more than 10 years in various capacities and was a past recipient of IPRA’s Young Professional of the Year Award. He is also a past member of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ Trail Advisory Board. Travis enjoys spending quality time with his family including his wife, daughter, son, and Labrador Retriever and staying involved with his kids out of school activities and athletics. He enjoys staying active outdoors with about any type of activity including basketball, hiking, mountain biking, and golfing. He can also be found cheering on the Denver Broncos, as a lifelong fan, on Sunday afternoons in the fall.
