This business plan is an update to an initial feasibility analysis conducted by Audubon Texas in 2016 that was completed in partnership with the City of Lewisville, University of North Texas, and Lewisville Independent School District. This update evaluates the requirements and expectations of the City of Lewisville developing a nature education center at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA). The scope of this review included operational models and partnerships, program-driven aspects of facility design, the requirements of financially sustainable operations, and recommended actions that will support the development of this nature center.
