Leslie Kane – Senior Project Manager
Leslie has over 25 years in environmental planning and administration. Starting her career with her own landscape design build company she switched gears and dedicated her work to environmental non-profits and state and municipal planning. She has worked for The Nature Conservancy, the University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension System, served as the Environmental Planner for the Town of Guilford, CT and most recently spent 14 years with the National Audubon Society (NAS). Her work at NAS ranged from serving as director of a nature center to directing NAS’ operations in CT and most recently directing the operations of the centers and sanctuaries NAS holds across New York and Connecticut. Leslie served on the National Watershed Roundtable as a gubernatorial appointee; has been appointed to 2 gubernatorial blue ribbon task force projects focused on CT’s natural resources; has assisted with 2 of CT’s State Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plans focusing on parks, forests, and open space planning. Leslie currently sits on the CT Urban Forest Council. She has a passion for planning and management of natural resources for people and wildlife.
